What would be involved in bringing in a relative from another country for cancer treatment

What would be involved in bringing in a relative from another country for cancer treatment?
I have a 16 month old cousin in Bangladesh who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The quality of health care there is very poor. I would appreciate any information on how to go about bringing them into the country in order for the child to receive proper medical treatment. Would immigration officials look at this as a special case in circumlocuting the standard immigration process?

yes you could try your congressman. i had a Friend who s brother had cancer, she ask the embassy to help her to bring her brother home to america for help. they agreed to help her and get him to america, but as they were waiting for the proper channels to get him home he didn t make it. but what i am saying is i think the embassy where they are is the best assurance for help.

Write your congressman and the President of the United States.

Most major US medical centres have a department to help people coming to the US for medical care. This would not be immigration, just a temporary permission. Here's an example: http://www.mgh.harvard.edu/international/english.htm
