I have a question regarding cancer treatment options and the existence of an ulcer. Please view details below?
Thank you in advance. If an individual is diagnosed with breast cancer, and the individual has an ulcer, can s/he still receive treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, etc? How does the ulcer affect the treatment options, if at all? What other methods are available? Please be as specific as possible to help me understand. This is no place to go for a medical consultation. You need to find a source for medical consultation that will give you some confidence in the findings. An ulcer is no obstacle for other treatments, but the ulcer also needs to be treated. I have had experience with various medical resources including the Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering, University of Chicago, etc. From personal experience, the resource that provides the most competent cancer diagnosis and treatment is the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. I would urge you to get a referral and make an appointment as soon as you can.
