Could leeches and worms be a treatment for cancer

Could leeches and worms be a treatment for cancer?
In dark ages, they where used in medicine,to eat and remove dead and broken skin, and only leave healthy skin. So,if someone catches cancer on time,by the help of leeches and worms, could they get cured?Per example, someone has breast cancer, the doctor makes a incision and lets the leeches and worms to do their job and kill the cancer and save the patient. Is it all sci-fi really?

Whatever the alternative cures are, however "absurd" and "idiotic" people and doctors tell you they are, they're still 1000 times better that the conventional treatments of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and I'd recommend giving them a shot, than destroying your whole body with toxins which will only let you live a year or more than what cancer would have allowed you, and at least with cancer you don't go down to 1/3 of your weight and live an unimaginably painful and degraded life in diapers. Chemotherapy is worse than cancer.

Hmmm. How would you convince the worms to eat only the cancer cells? Do you think worms have some kind of super vision, that they can see actual cells and determine whether the cells are abnormal? If the doc is going to make an incision, why not just remove the tumor him/herself? However, this can still leave behind cancer cells, since they are microscopic. And it does not deal with cancer cells that may have migrated to other parts of the body. This isn't even science fiction. It's pure fiction, no basis in science at all. Leeches suck blood. There isn't any kind of cancer that this would help. Cancers of the blood originate in bone marrow, not blood.
