Are there really alternative forms of treatment for cancer

Are there really alternative forms of treatment for cancer?
I was told that in Mexico there is 100% effective treatment of cancer by Hydrogen Peroxide types of treatment and also 100% effective forms of treatment by the use of a Multi-wave Oscillator. Is this true? If it is, why is it not placed into use by our healthcare system?

Yes. The sad thing is, drug companies make too much money from conventional treatments that string the patient along from one expensive drug to the next that these alternative methods are not promoted.

alternative medicine, AYUSH, ayurveda, yoga, unani, siddha, homoeopathy, nature cure are already in vogue in India from centuries. the systems mentioned by u are also worth trying, if affordable by the common man and if no side effects.

Your question sure pulled in the crazies. You can not cure anything but maybe some zits with hydrogen peroxide. The oscillator supposedly vibrates your cells back to your youth! That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If you go to a website and they state that the product hasn't been evaluated by fda or it's for entertainment purposes ony, etc, you can bet your butt they are useless products.

Never heard of those and don't see how they could do it. MD ANderson Cancer center has done extensive research on different natural things such as resveratrol. The Chinese and Japanese have been using for a long time and also study as other countries. I suggest you google 'resveratrol aggarwal". Dr. Aggarwal is one of the doctors at MD Anderson and they are also using other natural things. But tons of new information over the last few years. Look for the "Clinical trails and and Studies of Resveratrol on Cancer, it will be a 58 page report. The stuff some how corrects the DNA and tells the killer cells to recognize the cancer cells and kill them and it tells the cancer cells to kill themselves. made from many plants, abut the most potent is from the grape of the muscadine here in the states and then most in the health food stores and vitamin shoppes is made from the root of the knotweed plant, whch is ok. You can go to cancernet.com, this doctor luses many different techniques and was the first doctor to go public and say women with brest cancer didn't have to have radical masectomies. He did this years ago and was ostrachised, but has a hospital. Cancernet.com. I had a friend that had stage four stomach cancer and he took it and it's been over three years. The report is interesesting and you can take it to the doctors as it explains the different pathways and mutations the stuff works on. Know it sound crazy, but it's true. The drug compnaies, I believe have come out with some million dollar drug that is made of parts of it. But the research is great, check oncology and you can also just google the type cancer and resveratrol. Anyway hope this helps and many take it as a preventative. So gve it a look. jexcuse the typos and have a great 2009! You can also e-amil the doctors at Anderson if you like.

That nonsense has been around since before Hitler made corporal! Old Barney came home from work one day and told Wilma all about it! And the caves is where this garbage came from and where it should go back to! Along with the cave dwellers that peddle it!

*eyebrow raise* There are alternative forms of treatment for cancer--but how well they work is very much up for debate. There is no "100% effective" treatment for cancer. From my knowledge of physics and biology, the term "Multi-wave Oscillator" makes no sense, nor does the idea of a "Hydrogen Peroxide" treatment. I think someone is trying to scam you with those ideas.

No, it's not true; it's complete rubbish. The way to keep your bullshit detector in trim is to remember that in the context of medicine 'alternative' is just another word for 'unproven'. If something had been proven to be effective it would no longer be 'alternative medicine' it would just be 'medicine'. If these two 'cures' are effective, where are all the thousands of people who would have to have been cured by them in order to prove they worked? Why aren't they and their families shouting it from the rooftops? Instead we have a few unsubstantiated testimonials on the internet appearing, by extraordinary coincidence, on the websites of the people trying to sell you these miraculous products. Unfortunately wherever there's cancer there's an unscrupulous charlatan happy to separate desperate and vulnerable people from their cash in exchange for ineffective and sometimes dangerous 'cures'. If someone tells you they know of an alternative, 100% effective cure for cancer they are a) well-meaning but deluded; they have read about a miracle cure on the internet and are anxious to spread the word b) lying c) lying AND after your cash A little scepticism is a very healthy thing
