I'd suggest one or two things: One: I'd suggest you gather your medicine and look via the internet at possible drug interactions. Talking to your Doctor will work as well. Some medicine's will interact when combined with something else. Are you currently taking an Narcotics? IE: Prescription pain relievers.... If yes, this could cause swelling near your eyes. Could mean one or two things again. Meaning, you are either allergic to one or two medicines, or all Narcotics, (which you would have probably have known by now) and or an issue with the Opiod receptors in your brain. No common known problem that is life urging. If such problems progress, seek medical attention.

See the effects the hormones have on your thyroid hormone levels. Edema around the eyes is common in hypothyroidism.

If your doctors has suggested surgery that would be the best option probably. My brother and my sister didn't have health care insurance and didn't want to pay the going rate and removed their own skin cancers. That is another option. My sister's skin cancer came back, but my bother's didn't.

After treatment of cancer it usally does or can cause depression,you do need to seek help there is something to take to help you get through this.Hang in there something will come your way.Look into any kind of programs in your town for help.there is help there somewhere you have to hunt for it.

Does which country you get treatment for Cancer make a difference?
Can more advanced countries and clinics like Mayo Clinic be more beneficial and give you better treatment than say a 2nd world country? Or are the "treatments the same wherever you go"? What do you mean 'untested'? Would that be safe even??

If your country resists "untested" treatments, you may have a better chance elsewhere. The USA has strict rules about testing before allowing it, while others are more lenient. Unless I was in last stage, I would stick to sanctified treatment. But if it was early on and there were promising test results, you bet your azz I'd find them.

I have heard from A LOT of people that keritan may cause cancer so im not sure if it is a good idea to get it done. Maybe i can try another permanent straightening treatment but which one?

If you are a citizen or a landed immigrant it is covered by your provincial coverage which is paid for though your taxes. The only thing you may need to find funding for is travel. But if you contact the Canadian cancer society they can often help you find a place to stay if you need to travel for treatments. Then if the limb is removed some provinces do not provide coverage for prosthetic limbs, daily living aids ( shower chairs, wheel chairs, crutches ect) if you have insurance it may cover the costs not covered by the provinces. Some provinces do cover all of these needs others do not. the treatment and operations are covered.

And when, like I did, you have cancer treatment - surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and five years of drug treatment - you receive medical care worth far more money than you have ever paid in a lifetime of NI contributions. It's not perfect, and successive governments have run it down; but nobody goes without medical treatment because of inability to pay for it.

Government policy for giving NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE free of cost to people is a VERY GOOD SCHEME. National health insurance is health insurance that insures a national population for the costs of health care and usually is instituted as a program of healthcare reform. It may be administered by the public sector, the private sector, or a combination of both. Funding mechanisms vary with the particular program and country. Therefore National health insurance does not equate to government run or government financed health care, but is usually established by national legislation.Some countries implement national health insurance through a national insurance fund operated by the government from which medical expenses are paid.Some other contries also follow this. I do not know if it covers cancer treatment and make the treatment free. Recently the TAMILNADU Goverment has extended such insurance to all poor people in the State (Ofcourse it is a Political Gimmick by Karunanidhi) and such concession should be extended to all in India. In this all will get treatments free of cost for Cancer and other ailments. The government should give this for treating all types of Cancers to all citizen of India, so that the deaths for want of money can be avoided. For this the government should develope new treating fecility on their own and give to people. -
