Can anyone suggest treatment for cancer for dieing dog

Can anyone suggest treatment for cancer for dieing dog?
I have an american eskimo female 11 years old. she had surgery last year for mamory cancer and now they found a mass in her lungs. They said surgery would not help but that I may try homeopathic treatments. I love my dog dearly and want to help at least make her comfortable. Can you suggest anything safe for dogs. They put her on hydrocodone for the coughing and it made her bleed.

Unfortunately i don't think there is much you can do...We had a dog die of cancer all we could do was make his life as Comfy as we could
3 :
Reiki. There is a form of Reiki and symbol to be used for cancer in humans and animals and has helped quite a few people and pets that I know. Check into it! http://www.healingartforms.com

sometimes there is Hospice care for dogs, you need to keep the dog pain free. Does she still eat/drink and go outside. if she has cancer in her lungs, that's very serious and her time is limited. Homeopathic treatments will just take your money. get real pain meds from vet or have them come to your home and end her suffering. She knows you love her and it's the kindest thing you can do for her. Sometimes we don't want to let go and hang on for our own selfish reasons, I did this once too, with a dog with renal failure, she was very sick and I was in alot of pain over losing her as it was sudden, acute, After they came to my home, I didn't let them take her right away. I made my own arrangements a few days later. As I wanted to hold her , pet her and cry even though I knew she was gone, but no longer suffering. It's one of life's painful experiences that's hard to get through.

Yes, this is possible. Chemo stays with the body for a long time, and it takes a very long time for your body to heal. Plus, there are other side effects. If you had chemo or radiation, your thyroid gland may stop functioning, which takes away energy and prevents you from feeling 100% good. If you had high doses of treatment, had cancer in your bones, or had a treatment that used prednisone, you may have problems with your joints. I have something called osteonecrosis from my cancer treatments, and my effected right hip is always sore. If you or someone you know is suffering from those symptoms, see a doctor! They can find out if it's a side effect/complication of treatment or a different problem.

If positive, the urologist will probably repeat the BCG bladder treatments again. Another alternative is intravesical mitomycin C http://blcwebcafe.org/intravesicalchemo.asp

6 weeks cancer treatment at Duke hospital

6 weeks cancer treatment at Duke hospital?
My mother in law has to have chemo and radiation for 6 wks. It's about a 4 hour drive so she has to stay there. Anyone know of groups that offer help with bills or mainly with where to stay? Hotels offer medical rates, but at 6 wks, its still alot. I wish someone had a motor home donation group for people like this.

she could check with the local church branch to see if she could get help through them.

Often there are hospital hospitality houses available at low cost or if you prefer hotels sometimes offer low cost lodging near major medical facilities. Here are some options for your Mother in Law. We have stayed at several hospitality locations in other states and they are wonderful, convenient and sometimes offer transportation too. If you are looking for lodging around Duke hospital in NC: Caring House is a communal house for adult cancer patients at Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. It offers lodging for $25 a night. She will need a referral by an oncology social worker at the hospital: Caring House http://www.caringhouse.com/ There is also a Duke University Host Home Program which can arrange short term housing in private homes. (find contacts and more information by looking through the Joe's House website) Hospital Hospitality Housing by state http://www.nahhh.org/lodging2.php?state=North%20Carolina Low cost housing associated with medical facilities by state: Joe's House http://www.joeshouse.org/
3 :
Check with Duke University Hospital. Most hospitals offer a service, almost like a Hotel Concierge, that offer help to patients and their families - either with locating places to stay or transportation. Having been at Duke myself, I would find it hard to believe they don't offer Patient Assistance. Good Luck!

Does which country you get treatment for Cancer make a difference

Does which country you get treatment for Cancer make a difference?
Can more advanced countries and clinics like Mayo Clinic be more beneficial and give you better treatment? Or are the "treatments the same wherever you go"?
Cancer - 4 Answers

1 :
I don't know about other countries, but America has very advanced hospitals and clinics for cancer treatments
2 :
Some countries, and some specialist centres can offer more advanced treatment for a range of cancers, because they spend more money and resources on research and development of treatments. However, most countries can treat most of the more common types of cancer, because knowledge and experience is shared around the world.
3 :
It's pretty much the same if you are in any developed country. There might be different clinical trials in different countries or different areas of the same country. Mortality rates are very similar.
4 :
Yes,also some country is cheap for same treatment

How can cancer treatment make healthy cells go bad

How can cancer treatment make healthy cells go bad?

Radiation not only kills the cancerous cells it kills some healthy cells also in the process.
2 :
It all depends on the treatment. Whatever kills living (Cancer-) cells (X-Ray and Chemotherapy) will harm healthy cells too. If you go for treatments that don't do that, then you're better of. Some of those treatments are discussed in literature that is indicated below.
